Hi! My name is Hannah Wintle, and I’m a Multimedia Journalist working in Manchester. I’m lucky enough to have lived in Monton all my life, and I wanted to create a news outlet specifically for our wonderful village. So… welcome to Monton Matters!

I started Monton Matters as part of my Masters in journalism, but after seeing just how much the people of Monton loved having a dedicated news source, I decided to carry on with it. This time, I’m really blessed to have the help of some amazing contributors who have their fingers on the pulse of the Monton scene, and write some fantastic stories!

Monton is home to a fantastic community of people from all different backgrounds, and we’re certainly not short of amazing stories to tell. I hope that this website will allow all of us to learn more about the goings-on (breaking news or not) of Monton and its surrounding areas, and celebrate what a wonderful place Monton is to live!
